Infobox and lead

edit
Extended content
  • "is a song by American entertainer" → "is a song by American singer and songwriter"
  •  Not done, She's also credited as an actress so entertainer seems a better ter.
  • End the sentence after her name since the release date belongs elsewhere as I will instruct
  • "as well as Theodore "Madd Scientst" Thomas who produced the song, it is a" → "as well as its producer Theodore "Madd Scientst" Thomas, the song is a"
  • Target ballad to Power ballad per MOS:LINK2SECT
  • "It was released through" → "It was released for streaming as a single on October 6, 2008 through" with the appropriate targets
  • "a joint venture with Interscope Records" → "a joint venture with Interscope"
  • "who had not released any new music since 2006" remove this part since it is repetitive due to the succeeding sentence
  • ""Us Against the World" was Milian's" → "The song marked Milian's"
  •  Not done, calling the song by its name breaks up the use of "the song" and "it".
  • Could say the same for "It" or "The song". Stylistic choices. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }-
  • "and the song" → "and single" to specify that it was from 2006
  • "Shortly after the release of So Amazin'," → "Shortly after the release of the album,"
  • "Def Jam Recordings due to poor album sales" → "Def Jam due to her poor album sales"
  • "helmed by Ray Kay was" → "helmed by Ray Kay, was"
  • "in promotion of the single" → "in promotion of the song"
  • Add some info on the synopsis of the video?
  • "for the videos for her singles "Whatever U Want" (2004) and "Say I" (2006)" → "on the videos for her singles "Whatever U Want" and "Say I" in 2004 and 2006, respectively"
  • "the song produced by Jason Nevins was also" → "the song, produced by Jason Nevins, was"
  •   Done, have left link to Jason Nevins as its the first time he has been mentioned in the lead.
  • "had limited chart success" → "experienced limited commercial success"
  • Name the chart as Pop 100 Airplay since that is clearly not the same as Pop 100
  • "and 112 on the" → "and number 112 on the"
  • Wikilink lead single to itself
  • "her forth album Dream in Colour (later titled Elope) which would go" → " her fourth studio album Dream in Colour, later titled Elope, which ultimately went"
  • "following more record label changes" → "after more record label changes for Milian"

Music and lyrics

edit
Extended content
  • "also producing the song" → "also handling production"
  • "Billboard's Mariel Concepcion, described" → "Billboard's Mariel Concepcion described"
  • The next sentence is repeating the first sentence a bit; merge the mixing info with that instead, writing something like "while the song was mixed by..."
  • Wikilink Hollywood to itself
  • "Milian conceived the concept" → "Milian conceived the concept for the song"
  • "romantic tragedy," → "romantic tragedy"
  • "to reflect the same themes" → "for reflecting the same themes"
  •  Not done, wrong grammar. The song's concept was to reflect the same themes not for reflecting the same theme. That doesn't make sense.≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }-
  • Target ballad to Sentimental ballad
  • RWDmag should be italicised
  • "In another interview with Ninefourfour" → "In another interview with 944 Magazine"
  • "because it "the lyrics speak" → "because "the lyrics speak"
  • "adding that" → "adding that:"
  • "ballad it’s very exciting" → "ballad it's very exciting"
  • "It’s about passion" → "It's about passion"
  • "Similarly, she told" → "Similarly, Milian told"
  • "that people would know that "there" → "that the world would know: "There"
  •  Not done, that capitalisation doesn't make sense to me. You don't capitalise phrases/quotes mid sentence? ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }-

Track listings

Extended content
  • Good

Personnel

edit
Extended content
  • Retitle to Credits and personnel
  • Credits adapted from CD single liner. → Credits adapted from the liner notes of the CD single.
  • Wikilink Christina Milian to herself
  • Use {{spaced ndash}} so there is the right space between credits and personnel
  • not done. {{en-dash}} does not need to be used to achieve correct spacing. I used the dash script which inserts "–"

Music video

edit
Extended content
  • This section belongs inbetween Music and lyrics and Track listings
  • Img text should have the wikilink on music videos instead of the full two words
  • "with MTV News, at the" → "with MTV News at the"

  • "It’s important to" → "It's important to"

Charts

edit
Extended content

Not done, as mentioned before sortables are not required for 2 entries or single entries. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }-

Release history

edit
Extended content
  • Song Version → Version
  • Make Various have a rowspan of 2 instead of repeating it twice
  • Streaming via MySpaceStreaming (MySpace) with the targets

  • Target Digital download to Music download

References

edit
Extended content
  • Make sure all of these are archived by using the tool
  •   Done as best I can. It's worth bearing in mind that the Copyvio tool is a guide and it is imperfect as it counts the name of the title several times which inflates the score on the MTV reference. Where text has been quoted, it has been appropriately sourced/referenced. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 19:18, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • I've reduced as much as I can. Where an article being cited is short, it is inevitable that copyvio scores are high however, like I said, when the song name is stripped out this is an acceptable level of copyvio score which is just a guide. Quotes (even in academic writing) use the exact wording and/or paraphrasing with relevant attribution. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 15:47, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Some of the refs are missing the publisher/work/website parameter
  • Fix MOS:QWQ issues with ref 7
  • Fix MOS:CAPS issues with refs 8 and 9
  • Cite Rap-Up as work/website instead for ref 8
  • Ditto for refs 9 and 17 but with no wikilink
  •  Not done, links are included in every ref as you may navigate directly from the ref to the section and back again
  • Fix MOS:CAPS issues with ref 10
  • Remove wikilink on Christina Milian for ref 11 and target Interscope to Interscope Records
  • Ref 12 says I need flash player to play the archived clip; is the info really verified, as I hope this is good faith?
  • Yes. The magazine was produced in print as well. Unfortunately there isn't much I can do about how the article archives. This post from RWD Magazine offers some proof that featured Milian on the cover and in the magazine. Someone posted the article on some music forums too which can be found online (pulse music board). ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 19:02, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • MOS:CAPS issues with ref 16 and are you sure that source is reliable?
  • Cite Rap-Up as work/website for ref 18 and fix MOS:CAPS issues
  • Fix MOS:CAPS issues with ref 19
  • Remove target on Billboard for ref 21
