- Utpalas were not jats, there is no evidence and utpala was not a surname, the rulers of utpalas use "Varman" as their tittle. Yash1110 (talk) 09:23, 15 September 2022 (UTC)
My recent revert
edit[1], from here onwards the narrative that this particular dynasty belongs to a particular caste was pushed by a user. Hence, i reverted it to last best version. The revert has removed some useful content too, which i am restoring.-Admantine123 (talk) 08:49, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
- But why??? historical records said that this dynasty belongs to a particular caste so whats wrong in that? Maheyyash (talk) 18:16, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
- Reply me dum Admantine when Origin and also These 2 books were accepted by the Ministry of culture Government of India. so why are you removing it???
- U are a big Historian or what.
- When the Government of India has accepted that the Utpala empire belonged to Chamars, then what is your problem? Maheyyash (talk) 14:29, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
Origin
editAccording to Kalhana in his book Rajatarangin(an12th century document recording by the Kashmiri historian Kalhana)'' Jayadevi, a combine of Lalitapida(king of Karkota and father of Cippatajayapida, also called Brhaspati) and her uncles, Fadma, Utpala, Kalyilna, Mamma, and Dharma were from non-Brahmin/Outcaste origin.[1]
● Historian Abu'l Fazl in his book Ain-i-Akbari(an 16th-century detailed document recording the administration of the Mughal Empire under Emperor Akbar) clearly mention that the rulers of utpala dynasty were from Chamar caste.[2][3]
