Team name

edit

It would appear that the name "Vancouver Whitecaps Women" is inaccurate. According to the Whitecaps' and W-League's websites, the women's side is simply known as "Vancouver Whitecaps FC" just like the men are. I'd propose changing this article's name to "Vancouver Whitecaps FC (women)". --Blackbox77 (talk) 04:44, 2 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

According to http://club.whitecapsfc.com/women/ it is as well. Not sure when the change happened, or if it was just was just the nickname given locally, but we should reflect it. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:01, 2 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I'm confused. Are you agreeing or disagreeing with me? --Blackbox77 (talk) 06:30, 2 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
At the matches over the past eight years, the announcer always referred to the team as "The Whitecaps Women". On the radio and TV they were referred to the team as "The Whitecaps Women". I can't remember what the website said. Two official websites now read Vancouver Whitecaps FC Women, so I am in agreement with your move. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:44, 2 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Walter, to answer your comment in your last edit summary, I do believe the men and women now share the logo. See: W-League Whitecaps FC page, Press article --Blackbox77 (talk) 04:06, 3 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
