"Velcro is a type of sneaker"...
editLeaving aside the nonsense statement with which this so-called encyclopedic "article" begins, the TIME article used as a reference also mentions Velcro diapers, Velcro golf jackets, and Velcro walls, among many other products. The last of these redirects to Velcro, as should any common-or-garden object that simply incorporates Velcro. I have a pair of snazzy sandals with Velcro, but it wouldn't occur to me to create an article on Velcro sandals... So why Velcro sneakers? --Technopat (talk) 22:03, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
velcro
editVelcro is a type of sneaker that is very popular unlike velcro golf jackets and some other velcro related items. Velcro sneakers are so popular that they need there own article. Velcro sandals however, aren't. This is why velcro sneakers needs an article. (Mathgenious989 (talk) 22:11, 17 October 2013 (UTC))
