First Lady
editIsn't the spouse of the President of Italy the real first lady ? Hektor 05:17, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- It mostly depend on how you map the Italian institution into your culture and therminology. Berlusconi and Napolitano are not the same as Fillon and Sarkozy. (France is "presidential", Italy is "parliamentar"). The executive power is held by Berlusconi, not Napolitano. And Berlusconi, in Europe, NATO, and whatever international organization meets with Sarkozy, not Fillon.
Being not a 1-1 relation, both the definition of "first lady" might be right.

editInteresting that "Veronic Lario" got about 10 times as many hits as "Veronica Lario". Is there an implied final vowel in most people's minds? Regards, 66.92.74.189 (talk) 21:29, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
