Untitled
editAbout the first paragraph The contest is held in February, not June, and Viña del Mar is in Chile, not Peru. Thanks. --CaptainQuetzal (talk) 22:08, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
Separate article for the performers of each year. It looks cluttered right now.
editWhat if we create a separate article titled: List of performing artists at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival where we can put all the info that is in those sections? Maybe we can keep the latest one on this page. Or some sort of very brief summary. Just a thought. Hamsterlopithecus (talk) 17:59, 8 October 2015 (UTC)
- Well... it's done. Hamsterlopithecus (talk) 18:08, 8 October 2015 (UTC)
- The majority of the winners are not included on the list of performing artists, so they weren't performing at all, but just appearing there to accept a prize? Also, watching the lists, all red links promising an article each on the annual festivals? 83.85.143.141 (talk) 05:27, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
Notability
editIs this article really necessary? Like most articles concerning its country, it is irrelevant in the English-speaking world, the article in Spanish should be enough for those interested. At most it warrants a mention in the home city's cultural section.200.29.220.58 (talk) 14:26, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
- Notability and relevance aren't exactly the same. But if you really feel that this article should be deleted, there's a process for that. Cheers, -- Irn (talk) 15:48, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
- Is Wikipedia only relevant to English-speaking world? As a Free Encyclopedia it would be utopian if all the articles from all Wikipedias are in different languages, but is the closest we have. USA and UK are not the whole world. Regards! -- HenryDelMal (talk) 02:34, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
- However, English is a globally used language, unlike e.g. Icelandic. 83.85.143.141 (talk) 05:29, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
