I request MODs to allow me to edit this page. This person is a MONEY LAUNDERING fruadster, and Wikipedia shows him a celeb! SHOCKING. [6NOV2016] The contributors like "BarrelProof" are liquor PR agents working actively to make this greatest scammer, a celeb w/ immaculate record. I demand an answer, why I should not edit the page with relevant information, references and context. If Wikipedia has sold its soul to PR Agents, well, go on. Mark my words, you will not have even 1 genuine contributor in the next few months. No one even helps new & original contributors even on IRC. Such a shame when our countless references are deleted, and a scammer made a celeb! Dailyonion (talk) 18:22, 5 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Not done: requests for decreases to the page protection level should be directed to the protecting admin or to Wikipedia:Requests for page protection if the protecting admin is not active or has declined the request. - Mlpearc (open channel) 18:29, 5 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Not done This is not the right page to request additional user rights.
If you want to suggest a change, please request this in the form "Please replace XXX with YYY" or "Please add ZZZ between PPP and QQQ".
Please also cite reliable sources to back up your request, without which no information should be added to, or changed in, any article. - Arjayay (talk) 13:07, 6 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Dailyonion: For the record, since I was accused directly, I would like to clarify that I am not a liquor PR agent, and I am also not necessarily a fan of Mr. Mallya. Clearly you are not very familiar with me and the sort of editing that I have done on Wikipedia. —BarrelProof (talk) 22:13, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Auctions

edit

The content on "auction purchases" is exclusively based on this source which clearly is not independent but a platform for Mallya's self-representation. It is not reliable by Wikipedia's standards and likely to be biased in Mallya's favor. Thus I will (again) remove the content. Searching Google News for coverage related to Mallya and auctions only brought stories about the banks and the tax department trying to auction off some of Mallya's former assets. Before he left for london, all the salaries of abroad employees was cleared. However, all the employees within India, have not got salary in tune of Rs 300 Crore. [1] Some of them were fortunate enough to get a job somewhere else. But others were not so fortunate[2] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.35.117.221 (talk) 11:56, 3 February 2018 (UTC) Please consider putting the above information somewhere, may be in the controversial section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2405:204:9381:E0DF:353A:429B:7C06:3332 (talk) 05:37, 24 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Change the "Business and career" section to "Business Career"

edit

As he is mainly a businessman and a politician the two careers are and should be in the limelight. And as his political career has a sub head, it will only be fair to change it to "Business Career". SoloKnowHow83 (talk) 12:28, 14 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
