This person is notable because she is a female practicing what is traditionally a male dominated art form that is centuries old. At 30 years of age, she has chosen to carry on the torch of this great art form that is challenged by Television and other electronic media. This is a significant cultural contribution and such a person deserves to be mentioned.

editHi! This article was flagged for copy editing. I've cleaned up some grammatical and punctuation issues. However, I've also flagged the article as possibly containing original research and for notability. One of the sources had to be removed because it simply consisted of an external link that went to the Hindu.com/archive, which is essentially meaningless as a reference. There's no indication in the article as to why this person is notable - despite a comment on the talk page. It would help if someone knows why this person is notable to provide the background with appropriate RS materials otherwise, this just looks like the bio page of a random Earth dweller...and I don't think the purpose of Wikipedia is to give every person here a bio page. Anyway, I've done my copy editing and those are my suggestions: please improve the RS material and cite information throughout the article, and develop the notability of the article. It could also use some summarizing in terms of the topics; which since many of those words are not in English it is difficult to know what they even mean. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Curdigirl (talk • contribs) 23:50, 30 March 2017 (UTC)

It could also use some summarizing and clarifying (perhaps some translating) in terms of the topics of the performances. Since many of those words are not in English it is difficult for an English speaking reader, without Tamil or Hindi knowledge to know what those terms even mean. And that does not help to promote the value of the encyclopedia for English speaking readers. Curdigirl (talk) 23:51, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
