Requested Changes

edit

Hi. My name is Dalia Adler and I work for Vow. I would like to request the following additions to the infobox:

1. Completing Infobox
type=Private
founded=2019
key_people =George Peppou, CEO
products=Forged Parfait, a cultured meat product from Japanese Quail DNA
area_served=Singapore
logo=This image
WikiCode of Revised Infobox with citations

{{Infobox company | name = Vow | logo = | logo_caption = | logo_upright = <!-- default = 1 --> | logo_alt = | type = [[Privately held company|Private]] | industry = Cultured meat | predecessor = <!-- or: | predecessors = --> | founded =2019<ref name=":0"/> | founders = George Peppou, Tim Noakesmith | defunct = <!-- {{End date|YYYY|MM|DD}} --> | fate = | successor = <!-- or: | successors = --> | hq_location_city = Sydney | hq_location_country = Australia | area_served = [[Singapore]]<ref name="q085"/> | key_people = George Peppou, CEO | products = Forged Parfait, a cultured meat product from Japanese Quail DNA<ref name="q085">{{cite web | last=Kan | first=Ethan | title=Forged Parfait by Vow made with cultured quail launches in Singapore | website=Tatler Asia | date=April 4, 2024 | url=https://www.tatlerasia.com/dining/food/australian-forged-new-parfait-made-with-cultured-quail | access-date=May 10, 2024}}</ref> | owner = <!-- or: | owners = --> | num_employees = 65 | num_employees_year = <!-- Year of num_employees data (if known) --> | parent = | website = www.vowfood.com }}

Additionally, now that Vow has released its first commercial product available for sale,[1] I'd like to ask that reference to "plans" to release products be adjusted.

2. Updating references to future plans
Vow is an Australian company that plans to grow cultured meat for commercial distribution.

Finally, there's a sentence saying Vow was criticized for growing Zebra meat in a lab, but the citations provided just mention or quote Vow and do not seem to report on criticisms against Vow.[2][3]. A quick Google News search does not reveal any reputable news outlets with these criticisms either.

3. Uncited Original Research
During 2020 the company was criticised for plans to produce zebra meat.[7][8]

Let me know if there's anything I can do to be of assistance. Best regards. Dalia.adler (talk) 01:32, 24 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Dalia.adler, please upload the logo to commons for someone to add it. We can't just take the url and paste it. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 12:38, 28 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Vow Next Round Updates - September 2024

edit

Currently, almost the entire page is lumped into an "Origins" section, even content about headquarters and products. It's difficult to articulate the changes I'd like to request, because it involves re-arranging everything. I put together a proposed draft where everything is re-arranged, and any actual additions to the current page are highlighted. I listed out individual "move XYZ sentence from here to here" type requests on the Talk page as well, depending on what's easier for editors to review. Pinging @AlphaBetaGamma: who responded to my last request. Dalia.adler (talk) 23:16, 17 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

  Partly done: Things considered "routine" are not really considered notable for inclusion in Wikipedia, although the current profits should be able to be provided via the company info box. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 23:59, 17 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
