What this article needs

edit

Looking at the other cinema articles they list what the former owners of the cinema are. I was thinking if we should put how many screens are at the cinema or is that over the top? Jrgnet 09:40, 19 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pretty impossible considering that we're not talking about just one cinema - each location has a different number of screens.
Well, I suppose we could add it to the listings, but it could easily get cluttered. violet/riga (t) 11:21, 26 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Closures

edit

It should be noted that some of the less profitable Warner Village cinemas were shut down after the SBC takeover (for example, the one at Manors, in Newcastle upon Tyne, closed in 2004 and was demolished very recently). 220.157.83.11 11:00, 26 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Harrow or Blackburn? First Purpose Built

edit

Vue Corporate Site clearly states that Blackburn was the first purpose built, could you cite your source for Harrow? -Jrgnet 08:28, 27 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've removed the text from the article regarding this. The first problem is that it was confusingly contradictory, with both claims remaining. The other problem is that the link you have supplied does not work. Perhaps it's a registered user link only, but that therefore means that it isn't a good enough citation. violet/riga (t) 08:19, 28 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Vista Ticketing

edit

This section suggests that you can only purchase tickets from the concessions counter, when in fact the new system means you can purchase tickets from both the concessions counter and the box office. Needs slight rewording. TheIslander 16:32, 2 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

This section should be updated. The rollout of the Vista software was succesfully completed in September. Also, a combination of better signage and customers adjusting to the new concept have reduced any confusion about where they should purchase their tickets from in a "ticket at any till" environment. I just went to one in basingstoke and there was no boxoffice. It was all vista. (June 2007)

The result of this discussion was to Merge SBC International Cinemas into this article. Nicster08 (talk) 16:23, 24 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I propose merging SBC International Cinemas into this article because it is 2 lines of text which are repeated at the start of this article. Mark999 (talk) 02:45, 12 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

2nd largest chain

edit

The cineworld article claims that cine world is the second largest chain and they both can't be. This article claims there are 80 sites, cine world claims 81. I'm not sure which is right, but one is wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.89.134.78 (talk) 00:28, 11 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
