editI'm pretty sure "WACO" is not actually their call signal. I think I heard them say it once, a K-something that didn't spell anything.Cantras 02:07, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
3/10/2009 FYI WACO-FM is one of three stations in the United States where the call letters spell out the name of the city of license. (The other stations are WARE (AM) in Ware, Massachusetts and WISE-FM in Wise, Virginia.) WACO-FM is also one of a small number of callsigns whose beginning letter deviates from FCC standards. ("W" is typically assigned to stations east of the Mississippi; Waco's other stations begin with "K"). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.104.5.2 (talk) 15:15, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- According to the FCC database, it was briefly known as KTKC, which is probably what Cantras was thinking of. BioTube (talk) 16:50, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
