WaipareiraWaipareira (New Zealand electorate) – This was the article's original title. DAB is necessary because of the Waipareira land block and Parish of Waipareira which both currently lack articles but could be created. Traumnovelle (talk) 21:32, 11 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose until there is something else from which to disambiguate or it is shown that this is not the primary topic among our existing articles. If the possible topics noted above are mentioned in other articles, they can be added as hatnotes. Dekimasuよ! 03:15, 12 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
On further consideration this article doesn't have enough coverage for a stand alone article and I will nominate it for AfD. I withdraw this move request. Traumnovelle (talk) 03:32, 12 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

WaipareiraWaipareira (New Zealand electorate) – This page should be a DAB due to the Waipareira block. Another potential article with the name is the Waipareira Trust Traumnovelle (talk) 03:39, 23 August 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. BilledMammal (talk) 14:09, 30 August 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Reading Beans 15:21, 6 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Dekimasu pinging as you commented in the original move request. Traumnovelle (talk) 03:39, 23 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
No problem with moving this if there is something else with the same name. Is Waipareira block notable? (I don't know, but the new article you made is a one-sentence stub with one source.) Is it referred to as just "Waipareira" or always as "Waipareira block", in which case it would be a WP:TITLEPTM? Dekimasuよ! 04:09, 23 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I can find multiple examples of coverage online and I'm certain it'd have mention in relevant history books. There is also a parish[1], district[2], and riding[3] with the same name. It's hard to see how a short lived electorate could be considered the primary topic here. It isn't always referred to as Waipareira block. I've seen Waipareira land sale before for example. Traumnovelle (talk) 04:24, 23 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Traumnovelle, I shall note that once there is more than one article, and none of them is the (obvious) WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, it isn't necessary to go through a move request. You can simply move the existing article and make room for a disambiguation page.
That said, in this particular case, I've moved Waipareira block to draft space as the article isn't ready for main space. Hence, the move request is not needed for the time being. Schwede66 05:26, 23 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Just a note that Waipareira block is back in main space. Schwede66 19:25, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oppose - unnecessary disambiguation. Even if the other two articles are moved back to mainspace (as it seems one has), neither seems to be referred to solely by Waipareira on a regular basis and so there's no need for further disambiguation here. Turnagra (talk) 21:14, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
