Vandalism
editUser 152.7.18.190 is vandalizing main article by throwing in "non-games" eerywhere. Request protection.
Vandalism? One of the microgames is marked as "Help Conan O'Brien hunt down a copy of Mean Girls on Laser Disc". Actually a very funny idea, but I doubt that's in this game somehow :-) If it's definitely not, can someone please remove it? 80.225.152.110 21:11, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

plot
edit"The WarioWare team took an idea so wacky, it could only be made with the latest technology: the Wii Remote controller! Wario stumbles into an old building called the Temple of Form. Inside, he finds a mystical treasure called the Form Baton. There are many ways to hold and move the baton (called "forms"), and legend has it that if the holder follows the forms, he can overcome any challenge. With this discovery, the form craze spreads and soon everybody is doing their best to master the moves."

editI played the demo of this game and I'd like to add to some minigames, I thought I'd pass it by first here. "Shake controller > Shake ants off a banana" "Put controller on head and bend knees > Make someone squat" "Push the controller towards the screen and aim > Insert dentures into old lady's mouth" "Hold the controller like a handlebar > Balance some guy on a ball " "Place controller in palm of hand > Use it to bounce a ball " All will be in the final version, as I asked. The boss stage is using the controller as a steering wheel, and you have to avoid cows, monkeys and stay on the road. After that, the demo ends. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.75.148.114 (talk • contribs) .

editWhere is there confirmation of a "Master Mantis" or a "Young Cricket"? And don't tell me to sign my post, I'm too lazy to do that.

Where did the release dates come from?
editAs far as I know, there is no announced release date. --Ssj4android 04:23, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- I was skeptical of those dates too, but IGN lists Jan. 17 as the U.S. release date.
Just updated the UK release date, info came from a press release on the nintendo.co.uk site. --User:idlemichael
Update tag
editShould one be added? This game is out in Japan, and tons of videos have been shown. A lot of the stuff here looks pretty old. 199.126.137.209 07:00, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Jimmy P. and Wario-Man
editIs this a real character, or is it just fake?(and who is Wario-Man?)--Rat235478683--
- I don't know about Jimmy P. (although most of Jimmy's family have names like that), but Wario-Man's been in half the Warioware games; he's Wario's garlic-powered superhero form. No, really.
And Chibi Wario is...?--Rat235478683--
- Looking at the linked videos, apparently one of many miniature Warios created by, uh, a tiny motorcycle?
No Wario man...but I still don't understand the relation between Jimmy T. and Jimmy P. I haven't played through much of the other games, but is this Jimmy P.'s first appearance? -HumanZoom 09:08, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- Well, he hasn't appeared in Twisted or Touched, I do know that. I have Twisted and Touched --Rabin 15:33, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- He is a seperate character, who appears to be, I guess, Jimmy T's long lost twin brother or something? His story scenes are basically the same as Jimmy T's, except Jimmy T is there at the end because he doesnt know who this guy who looks just like him is, and it ends before there's any real resolution. I guess we'll have to wait for the next one, assuming they revisit the storyline... Incidentally, he looks a lot like Bobobo with the yellow afro and blue shirt. OK GUYS! you a IDIOTS!! FYI, Cibi wario is known as tiny Wario in japan, Wario man hosts the final genres in Twisted and Toutched. And Jimmy P. is just a guy like Jimmy T.!
Tiny wario was created by penny's motorcycle.

"unreleased computer or video game" tag
editThe game has been released in Japan for over a month now. Since the Western version is a translation, perhaps this tag should be removed? -- Exitmoose 01:44, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- The game has also now been released in Europe. I agree, the tag should be deleted. Any other thoughts? Trixovator 12:37, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- I say remove it. Any game that's been released in at least one region shouldn't have the tag. It shouldn't be up there just because North America doesn't have it yet. Hardcore gamer 48 13:28, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Release Date
editHi, I noticed that Gamefaqs has a different release date than this site, yesterday in fact, and that IGN has another release date, tomorrow. Who has the proper date? Thanks.
-Brad
- It would have helped if you dated your post because 'today' and 'yesterday' will only mean what you mean to the world for a few more hours lol. But no problem. The official NA release date is the 15th, the Canadian release date is the 17th. The reason for the spread of dates is that it will take a day or two for the shipments of the game to reach smaller retailers, so many regions will not have the game until the 16th or 17th, even though the game technically came out on the 15th. Needlessly confusing, and I had to do a little research to get to the bottom of the situation. But it all worked out! I went to the store yesterday to buy it, and they didn't have it. When I got home, someone had changed the release date on this page to 'Jan 16th,' which isn't technically right. Enough people bought it yesterday to put it high up in the charts, despite its regional exclusivity. Anyway, it was confusing to figure out what was wrong. --12.206.1.97 14:29, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Widescreen format
editI own WarioWare: Smooth moves I can play the game in widescreen on my new LCD TV ( 22" from Mirai ). I know many sites claim that it does not support 16:9, however I can play it with 16:9 ( or 16:10 as my new TV actually is ). NOTE: The image is NOT stretched, and I live in northern Europe so its a PAL release.
- Actually, it is. Wario Ware is kinda weird that both stretched and in 4:3 it looks normal because of the style. You can check if the game supports 16:9 by first going to the Wii main channel screen. and hitting the home button. Then go into Wario Ware and hit the Home button there. You'll see that the Home menu is stretched out in Wario Ware, and will look normal when you change your TV's aspect ratio to 4:3 57.68.10.185 15:26, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Getting everthing
editHow many times do you have to play through it to get every micro game?RammaYB 22:48, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- From personal experience: it will vary. Obviously you can't open up everything on the first time through, but for some of the levels, I only had to play them again once. Some of the other levels, I had to play a few times. As far as I can tell, the new microgames will appear randomly, so you could get lucky on your first replay. -HumanZoom 05:28, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
New Trivia
editThe recently added real world reference to Sin City, even if it is true, is poorly phrased. If someone could first see if it is true, and after that, if it is, then edit it properly. -Adun 23:04, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
Film links
editWhat happened to the video links? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.184.46.20 (talk • contribs)
- There is a Wikipedia policy somewhere saying not to add YouTube links as references and/or links due to several reasons including possible copyright infridgement. I can't find the policy page anymore, but I do remember reading about it. However, they are quite easy to find on YouTube, so there was really no point in listing them. Controllers???
editwii.com says that WWSM can have up to 2-5 players... how does this work? The Wiimotes only have four user lights... --TheGreenLink 18:38, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Players share the controllers, there aren't any microgames that use all 5 players. TJ Spyke 03:04, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- Players share the controller. Just one, you can't even get it to read more than one controller...
And it supports up to 12 player (but only in one game, the rest are 5 player) --Phred Levi 19:15, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Avoiding list of positions...
editPer usual, I don't think we need a detailed list of positions, that falls too much into FAQ territory and WP:NOT#IINFO. --Masem 23:37, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- I disagree. They're a vital part of the game mechanics and important for the reader's comprehension. At the least, they're more important than the characters of a near-plotless game. --Kizor 22:16, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- From back when my comment was made, someone had a list of each position and how you would make it. That list is what I felt was unimportant and more game guide material. On the other hand, the prose inclusion of the positions within each characters story (as the page stands now) tells the reader enough, along with other descriptions of the forms, that it's encyclopedic without being too much. --Masem 00:53, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Citation needed?
editWhy is a citation needed where it says "most microgames last under five seconds"? -- gakon5 01:31, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
The commercials
editThis really isn't my area, but it would be nice if we added something about the commercials for the game appearing in the United States. The game itself is portrayed in a lot of the WII Commercials to a great effect. The game is not named in the commercials but has become in a sense one of the faces for the original roll out of the WII in the US. -- Paul Cotney 14:14, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Citations for Trivia Section...
editMay I ask why people don't believe that the guy in that flashlight mini-game doesn't sound like the Ooccoo? Personally, to me, he sounds exactly like it (but then again, I haven't played TP in a while now, so I can't be entirely certain that it does sound like it...). Why don't we settle this by having a bunch of people who have both TP and WW checking this? As for the "It's-a Wii" thing... meh. The way I see it, not everybody would agree with what's currently on the trivia section without official word from Nintendo, so I really can't be bothered arguing about that. >_> Hardcore gamer 48 03:58, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
There is an external link titled IGN Review: WarioWare: Smooth Moves link contents are http://wii.ign.com/articles/755/755377p2.html the problem with the above is it points to PAGE 2 of the review. The url should be changed to end in p1.html so that it points to START of the review. Only I can't seem to figure out how to do that. Hopefully someone with more Wikipedia editing experience can make this change.
Why is the case art yellow instead of pink?
editI just came across this but isn't the game case pink? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.101.61.134 (talk) 23:38, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- In the UK it isn't. Might be in the USA. Garden. 16:53, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
- In NTSC regions, the case is pink; in PAL, it's yellow, I believe. You can clearly the text "PAL" on the yellow box art. Gary King (talk) 16:59, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Sections
editcan someone please add a section with the list of references to other games. theres like a nintendo thingy in the game where a lot of the microgames in there relate to nintendo games, ie super mario bros, nintendogs. etc. Should be added yes?IAmTheCoinMan (talk) 17:45, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
- No, that's too many. Gary King (talk) 19:00, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
- So? Still should have it. Like tv series and movies do.IAmTheCoinMan (talk) 16:09, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
- Then they most likely should not have those lists. It's mostly trivial information; at the very least, please find me a reliable source that lists all the games referred to in Smooth Moves. Gary King (talk) 17:42, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
