Who needs to relate Adolphe with Hitler?

This movie is a curiosity. All actors but one are jewish, well they are of jewish origin, righ? They play French goyim people, well this is VERY common in French Cinema (in American cinema, jewish actors play jewish characters ASAIK). But why are they so upset about the name Adolphe then?
