Hogan's Heroes

edit

Darn, I was watching Hogan's Heroes when a downed flyer was introduced and I immediately recognized his voice. I hurried to Wikipedia to make a note of this and found that he's actually credited with a "recurring" role in Hogan's Heroes. It's always somewhat disappointing to learn that one has been beaten to the punch. I'll see if I can't eventually list more information on the character he played in that series. On Gomer Pyle USMC And Hogan Heros and MASH as a supporting characther: At First he was introduced merely as a supporting character...on one hand while continuelly chatting about the Sister Teresa and war orphans, he does fail in his spiritual responsibility to his congregation by not warning five members Lt. Colonel Henry Blake; Major Frank Burns; Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan; John Francis Xavier "Trapper" McIntyre,Lieutenant Leslie Scorch the consequences of their adulterous actions-all six of them are punished in their own way: Blake was killed; Burns had a Section 8 mental breakdown; Houlihan married for love but had to divorce her cheating husband; Trapper McIntyre also divorced his wife [apparently as a result of his drinking and womanizing]; Lt Scorch was dropped from the series after only appearing eight times; Mulcahy becomes partially deaf.

Pretty nice....

edit

this is a quote from the Chicago Trib news story covering Mr Christopher's passing... "Everyone adored him," said fellow "M.A.S.H." actor Loretta Swit. "A great sense of humor and a great humanitarian. He became TV's quintessential padre as Father Mulcahy on 'M.A.S.H.' It was the most perfect casting ever known."

i'm gonna take a leap of faith here and state.. Seems he would have or probably WAS doing good works, whether or NOT he EVER become so apparent in the public eye. It was in his 'nature'. 2602:304:CDAF:A3D0:785D:26C7:5A56:A9D7 (talk) 18:19, 1 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

'Loose' terminology

edit

' ... to attempt to gain work in television where he guest-starred ...". I don't mean to be 'mean', but 'starred' ... really? That word gets used a LOT on this web-site, for ANYbody that appears in a production of whatever. 66.81.246.240 (talk) 03:43, 18 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Autism

edit

Changed ‘has Autism’ to ‘is Autistic’ as Autistic is the preferred term in that Autism community [1] [2] [3] Tydoni (talk) 02:32, 6 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Can somebody verify whether this is correct? The National Autistic Society is a UK organisation. It seems more likely that he'd be supporting an American equivalent, but I can't find out for sure either way. FreddieRainbow (talk) 10:21, 14 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
