References
editI took a first crack at adding notes and references. I have not seen the GQ article on Wesley and D. Wagner.
Category: Mysterious people
editI added this article to the category "Mysterious people." The rules for inclusion in that category are pretty hazy, but Wesley seems mysterious enough to me! Rolando 16:34, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
a mysterious figure
editputting William Wesley is a mysterious figure in the first sentence/paragraph just doesn't make sense. This is an enclopedia, the first paragraph should be clear on what he does that made him significant enough to have a page on wikipedia. I've never heard of this person before. And after reading the entire article, i still don't know know what he does? The only fact i read was that he knows some big name players. How does that make him mysterious? - You're right. There nothing in the article that makers this man "mysterious." He sounds like he knows a lot of people and that's about it. There's certainly value in knowing people, especially certain people, but there's nothing "mysterious" about the fact. That he knows folks is right there for all to admire.
- But the question is how he knows people. Nobody has been able to find out how he came to be the most connected man in American basketball, or how he made enough money that he's not seen working. He was completely off the radar and then all of a sudden he's in the corner of every picture. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.149.98.36 (talk) 03:53, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- This is no exaggeration. Wesley even participated in the Pacers-Pistons brawl!!! Ylee (talk) 05:45, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
An important edit
editIn the paragraph entitled "controversy" the author states that an NCAA investigation on Wesley's influence on Josh Selby's de-commitment from The University of Tennessee. The author cites an article from ESPN.com as a reference for this assertion. The article referenced mentions nothing of a pending NCAA violation. This apears to be an inaccurate or unverifiable claim.
