Winnie the Pooh (franchise) → Winnie the Pooh (Disney franchise) – I think that the current name is too ambiguous, as there are multiple franchises based on Winnie the Pooh. There is the original book series and its related media, there is the Soyuzmultfilm franchise, and there is an upcoming cinematic universe based on Blood & Honey. By specifying that this page is about the Disney franchise, it can help to avoid potential confusion. While the Disney franchise is certainly the largest and most well-known, it is not the only Winnie the Pooh franchise. Di (they-them) (talk) 02:06, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:OVERPRECISION. There's no article about any other franchise, so no need to excessively disambiguate the title. Station1 (talk) 02:33, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
- I think that citing WP:OVERPRECISION is wrong here. That page states that "titles should unambiguously define the topical scope of the article, but should be no more precise than that." The title "Winnie the Pooh (franchise)" does not "unambiguously define" the scope of the article because there are multiple franchises by that name. There is ambiguity, so by definition it is not unambiguous. Di (they-them) (talk) 05:53, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
- In the context of WP article titles, which is the policy we're talking about, the title is not ambiguous because it is the only article on WP (at least so far) about any Winnie-the-Pooh franchises. Info about all franchises could, optionally, be added to this article without changing its title. If you were to write another article about another Winnie-the-Pooh franchise, there might be a need for disambiguating titles at that point, but normally we don't disambiguate titles preemptively. - Support the base topic article Winnie-the-Pooh also serves as a franchise article, covering the overarching franchise, where the Disney one is an element of. -- 65.92.244.99 (talk) 03:57, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose - per WP:OVERPRECISION. No other franchise exists (at least, no other has an article). In any case, the hatnote is sufficient. estar8806 (talk) ★ 20:25, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
- oppose per over-precision. no reason for being confused with some other winnie the pooh franchise. Hatnote is sufficient here. —usernamekiran (talk) 14:32, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
Winnie the Pooh Preschool and Kindergarten
editWe need to add Winnie the Pooh: Preschool and Winnie the Pooh: Kindergarten to the list of video games as they have their own plots and different minigames. 2603:6010:8B45:FA00:2C67:A4D:44D7:B9E5 (talk) 19:32, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
Missing Game
editThe video games section is missing "Winnie The Pooh, The Honey Hunt" for the VSMILE console. I don't know if you count educational games console for the list but i feel like it's worth a mention. Indominious (talk) 03:11, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
