This article is written in Indian English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, travelled, centre, analysed, defence) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus. |

editWhy should i delete my article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zubinism (talk • contribs)
- Hello there. Nobody said you should delete your article, but someone else may do that. As for the reason why, read the deletion notice in the article: there reason is clearly indicated in it, and by clicking on it (it's the "original research" link) you may get to know more about it, and how to avoid making that particular mistake. --Nehwyn (talk) 18:12, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- Nehwyn's incredible waffle above does not help very much. An "original research" tag was inappropriate anyway. A quick Google search suggests that this is not an hoax but you must add a couple of external links to confirm that it is not an hoax and that it is notable. -- RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 21:43, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- Uhm, I never said it was a hoax; I tagget it as "original research". The two are different after all. --Nehwyn (talk) 09:01, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
The good and the bad
editIn this edit someone added
- it strongly criticised the literature of the east
and yet in a few external places I find the note
- 6. Literature and Culture. The Despatch recognized the importance and value of Indian literature and culture.
It does seem that the recommendation for instruction in English at higher levels would devalue Eastern writings, but I've not read enough to know that. I'm going to remove the addition, in favor of someone eventually adding a cited conclusion on what was said regarding Indian literature, which of course had little relation to what was done.
