Hi, could someone please rollback the move by somewhat new Digiace (talk · contribs) on this article. The article subject is best known as Xapo. We dont need to add the company name to it, same as with Binance, Coinbase, etc. Whatever country and company these crypto companies are using at the moment we dont need to chase that at wikipedia. They are most commonly known by their brands, not their regulator framework. I tried to rollback, but somewhat out of my wheelhouse. Thanks! Jtbobwaysf (talk) 07:14, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
- It looks like you rolled it back and then undid your own edit. If you think the edits should be removed, you know how to do it. If you think there should be a discussion, then you should not be asking for someone else to re-do your edits. There are relatively few watchers of this page, so outside opinions can always be garnered from the related WikiProjects and the various noticeboards. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. - @Primefac: I indeed tried to rollback and then self reverted as it didnt seem to change the name. I was wondering if I had done it the wrong way. I was a little afraid that I would break something, I can try the rollback again if I had done it correctly. @David Gerard: I see you edited after my self refert, do you prefer to leave the article with the Limited in the title? Or we return to the previous name? Thanks! Jtbobwaysf (talk) 01:40, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- I'd move it back to Xapo - David Gerard (talk) 12:36, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback. I have moved it. Jtbobwaysf (talk) 19:39, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
"Xapo Bank Limited" was not appropriate. I agree. Formal name is Xapo Bank, not Xapo, though. The "limited" bit is nonsensical. Press coverage since 2022 refers to it as Xapo Bank. Website, url, seems to have also changed to xapobank since 2022. So, middle ground to move to Xapo Bank makes sense here, hence the move, instead of doing this "limited" nonsense. Another example is BHD Bank BHD Bank which isn't just BHD; also HDFC Bank we call it, vs HDFC. Hope these examples help illustrate the diff. Terraform33 (talk) 18:10, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
