editI swear this girl has indeed planned a good amount of this out, or at least her recent ventures. She has a lot of attention and power, and she knows it.
- All I know is that her voice is fake; this has been evidenced by comparing an old video of her on a variety program (before she was famous) to any video now. ~ 69.66.126.54 02:25, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- I've seen that clip, and I dispute that it proves her voice is fake. Her voice on the clip is well within the range she uses today. She doesn't normally talk that fast nowadays, but it's not unusual for someone to talk quickly when they're inexperienced with appearing on TV. I agree she's not as much of an airhead as she acts (really, how could she be?), but I don't see that as a conspiracy so much as just common sense. --61.214.155.14 06:05, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, her voice really is fake. In fact, her whole image is fake. Look at this video:

That's the real Yuko! ^_^ She isn't an airhead, and she doesn't actually have the voice of a 1-year-old. She has a deep voice and she's very mature and fun! Nothing like that Yukorin character she made up. It seems she got surgery though, on her eyes and nose, which is popular in Asia. I love the real Yuko much more, and I now think Yukorin is kinda creepy. She tries too hard to look, sound and act cute, even though she's 23. *_* All because Japan has an obsession with adult women who act like preschoolers... It's a bit sad. ;_; --Lady Rosala 16:24, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, you win, her voice in that clip is way outside the range she uses now. It is sad; I only learnt to tolerate her performing voice because I assumed it was simply an exaggeration of her real voice. I know she's had some moles removed, but you won't convince me of any other surgery without some proof! I don't think her personality has changed all that much; she acts like an airhead or not depending on the circumstances. So do I. You have to admit she's pretty damn funny sometimes! (I can't make the same claim for myself) --61.214.155.14 04:11, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Momoka
edit- WTF is a momoka? It's not listed on the English or Japanese Wikipedias, nor is it in my Japanese dictionary.--holizz 09:41, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- The same thing as momo no hana -- a peach blossom. --Kamatari 18:07, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Pretty sure it just meant she looked like someone who would be named Momoka. In the same way one would say "You look like a Chris." --19 January 2006 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 210.135.158.226 (talk) 06:22, 9 January 2007 (UTC).

Gambatte!
editI noticed this article is much shorter than the Yamada Yu article. This will never do! As a start, I changed the infobox to the "musical artist 2" style (because it looks cooler), however, much more is needed. I will try to bring in some information from the Japanese article when I have time. Non-Japanese-speakers too, please scour the interwebs for solid sources and add what reliable information you can find! --61.214.155.14 02:07, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Unsupported assertion
editAlmost one year ago I flagged one factoid with "CITENEEDED". No evidence was adduced so I've deleted the factoid. -- Hoary 08:15, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
