Štefica Galić
edit- ... that ethnic Croat journalist Štefica Galić (pictured) has been called the "Schindler of Ljubuški" for helping save an estimated two-thirds of the town's Bosniaks during the Croat–Bosniak War?
Source: "It seems then that the 'Schindler from Ljubuski' must wait just a little longer - maybe even forever - for her city and her country to recognise her family's courage, humanity and nobility."[1] "They wrote 'letters of guarantee' for local Bosniaks who had been detained, saving an estimated two-thirds of the town's Bosniak population."[2]
- Reviewed: Shadwell forgeries
- Comment: I suggest keeping this for 15 August, the 25th anniversary of the event.

- - new; long enough; interesting; cited (I've amended the wording slightly to properly reflect the source). Looks fine to me... GiantSnowman 16:04, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
- GiantSnowman, your review does not mention a number of the DYK criteria, including hook and article sourcing (you mentioned "cited" but not which) and neutrality, checking for copyvio/close paraphrasing, whether the image is free, whether the QPQ is adequate, etc. Please be sure to check these criteria. Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:52, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- (@BlueMoonset: I checked all those things. The DYK police should make it easier to show this. GiantSnowman 12:37, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- If this is supposed to run on August 15, it needs an approval tick very soon. Pinging @GiantSnowman:. Yoninah (talk) 20:04, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Yoninah and BlueMoonset: It's already ticked... GiantSnowman 07:24, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
