A. Teeuw

edit
  • ... that in his successful dissertation, A. Teeuw used guesswork and saw indecipherable data?

  • Length, date, hook fact, all check out. My only qualm is that the hook is a little confusing: it makes it seem like he saw indecipherable data because he used guesswork. I would end with something like "A. Teeuw resorted to guesswork and still encountered indecipherable data" to make it clearer that these are two different components of his dissertation. Otherwise good to go! Canadian Paul 18:24, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
  • Like this? ALT1 -- ... that A. Teeuw resorted to guesswork and still encountered indecipherable data in his successful dissertation? Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:03, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
  • Yes indeed. ALT1 is good to go for DYK. Canadian Paul 14:27, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
