- @Andrew Davidson: Thanks for the review. I edited the hook a little bit - does that sound right? If not, I'm open to suggestion as well. I'll do QPQ soon.HaEr48 (talk) 23:04, 28 May 2018 (UTC)

- Picking up review ... The new hook looks okay, but I would phrase it this way:
- ALT1
... that the ninth-century astronomer Al-Mahani claimed he predicted the start times of three consecutive lunar eclipses within half an hour?
- @Yoninah: Thanks for the review. One concern: isn't the phrase "within half an hour" ambiguous in this context? It could mean something like the eclipse happens at x:30 and he made the prediction at x:00 (not the intended meaning here. the intended meaning is that he predicted that an eclipse would happen at x:yz and the eclipse would occur within half-hour of that). But I'm not a native English speaker so I might be wrong about this. HaEr48 (talk) 00:41, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- @HaEr48: yes, that worried me too. How about:
- ALT1a: ... that the ninth-century astronomer Al-Mahani claimed his estimates of the start times of three consecutive lunar eclipses were accurate to within half an hour? Yoninah (talk) 00:46, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
