André Mellerio

edit

Mellerio, at left, with his family

  • ... that André Mellerio (pictured, at left) was a member of the family that owned Mellerio dits Meller, considered to be the world's oldest jeweller and Europe's oldest family-owned company?

  • offline ref 2 accepted in good faith, age and size of article ok, hook cited. other refs cite material and aren't paraphrased too closely. Good to go. Nice painting. 13:16, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
  • Not sure who passed this, since the review is unsigned, but there was a fundamental issue with the QPQ review that leads me to be reluctant to accept it here. BlueMoonset (talk) 14:03, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
  • A quick check of the page history reveals that the reviewer was Casliber, a DYK regular. I will apologise again for my flawed QPQ review - stating that an article was long enough when it clearly was not is a basic error. Edwardx (talk) 14:26, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
  • Is it André Mellerio that isn't long enough? Philafrenzy (talk) 14:54, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
  • Ah, the inner workings of DYK are more mysterious to me than Quantum physics. Philafrenzy (talk) 15:19, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
  • In the interests of speeding this nom on its way and helping to clear the backlog, Edwardx please would you kindly accept one of my many QPQs for this nom? Initial review of 7 July by Casliber still stands and I take it on trust. Note: I have given the article a light check-over, and the images are free. Good to go. --Storye book (talk) 14:07, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
  • Storye book, I would happily accept your generous offer of a surplus QPQ. Thank you. Edwardx (talk) 14:53, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
