I count 1552 characters of prose, so it just barely meets the length criterion, but I'd be more comfortable if the article were more substantial. It meets all the other requirements. The hook just isn't that interesting, so I propose the following (which depends on an offline source):
- ALT1 ... that Beaverton Health & Science School (pictured) was rated as below average by the state, despite students needing to enter a lottery to attend it?
