Blendr
edit- ... that the new geosocial networking app Blendr lets you find people near you who share common interests?
- Comment: I'm not thrilled with the hook (it's a little be advert-y), but nothing is jumping out at me in the article. Still new at this. Qwyrxian (talk) 06:38, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
- Comment ALT1 ... that the popular geosocial networking app for gay men Grindr now has a version for everyone called Blendr? <-- this is an alternate hook proposed by User:Andromedarama. Personally, I'm a little unhappy about this hook, because it puts too much emphasis on Grindr, and fails to recognize how the apps are different, but I have no problem if other editors think that it's more "catchy". - Hook: I prefer something based on ALT1. Perhaps something like ALT2 ... that the general geosocial networking Blendr is based on Grindr, which is for the LGBT community? Hook is short enough, interesting enough.
- Article: Long enough, new enough. Paraphrasing looks okay.
- Summary: We need to hammer out a hook. Crisco 1492 (talk) 08:25, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
- Well, Grindr isn't actually for the whole LGBT community--it's targeted only at gay men (as far as I understand from our article and reading articles about Blendr, which all explicitly say "gay men", that I recall). How about ALT3...that the geosocial networking app Blendr expands on its predecessor Grindr (targeted at gay men) to allow all people to connect with others nearby with common interests?
- That's a bit longer, but still falls just under 200. Qwyrxian (talk) 14:12, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hmm... the one that I looked at (at the time the first reference) just said LGBT. Could we try trimming ALT3 a little? Perhaps ALT4 ...that the geosocial networking app Blendr expands on its gay-oriented predecessor Grindr to allow all people to connect with others nearby with common interests? or something even more streamlined. Crisco 1492 (talk) 14:35, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
- ALT4 is good to go, although further streamlining would be nice too. Crisco 1492 (talk) 15:55, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
