Boss (2013 Hindi film)
edit- ... that the song "Boss – Ganapati Mix" the 9th Track of the soundtrack was recorded two days prior to Ganesh Chaturthi to coincide its release with the festival's celebration?
5x expanded by Sohambanerjee1998 (talk). Self nominated at 12:33, 12 September 2013 (UTC).

- Other than many issues in the article and the hook, the article is not 5x expanded too. Article on 1 September: Prose size (text only): 976 B (166 words) "readable prose size", and Article today: Prose size (text only): 4187 B (727 words) "readable prose size", so you still need to add 693 prose characters. --Tito☸Dutta 13:48, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
- Yes first one, by when do I have to add these 639 characters? Sohambanerjee1998 17:22, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
- Do it now/soon. And hook should be less than 200 characters (shorter is better). Please suggest a new hook below. I'll start reviewing then. --Tito☸Dutta 02:28, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, I am ignoring the article size requirement, there is a copyedit tag in the article, which needs to be solved. --Tito☸Dutta 02:30, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
- Copyediting has been completed, whats next? Sohambanerjee1998 12:07, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- Tito I will expand it soon, 1-2 days. Plus I will introduce a new hook. Sohambanerjee1998 12:10, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- Tito another thing, on September 1 the article was 2000 bytes but now it is 13000 bytes so its 6.5x expanded. Sohambanerjee1998 12:35, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- We count prose character. --Tito☸Dutta 14:23, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- Oh I see, it does'nt matter since I am expanding it. Whats the last date? Sohambanerjee1998 15:38, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- There is not any such last date. But, the DYK will be rejected if no work is done in next few weeks. And you can leave expanding, and work on other issues now. --Tito☸Dutta 15:44, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- What are the other issues, is it anything pertaining to the DYK (hook) or my personal wiki-affairs?Sohambanerjee1998 16:22, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- Remove stub tag, finish the construction work, there are few typos, I'll correct the ones I'll notice, hook is not interesting. You may suggest something like Did you know that... the music album on the upcoming film Boss was released on 9 September 2013 to coincide with its lead actor Akshay Kumar's birthday along with the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi? --Tito☸Dutta 11:30, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
- Oh thanks for that Tito, the construction work was indeed complete but forgot to remove the template. The music reception part is new so it will have few typos but they have been fixed now. The other thing is the hook. Remember I told you about 4 hooks. I will list them soon. Apart from the hook is there any other issue?Sohambanerjee1998 13:10, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
The hooks are - Did you know
- ... that the song "Boss – Ganapati Mix" has lyrics which credit the Hindu Elephant God Ganesha (pictured) to be the King or Boss of all Gods?
- ... that actress Sonakshi Sinha (pictured) charged ₹6 million (US$72,000) for her third special appearance in the song "Party All Night"?
- ... that the music video for the song "Party All Night" had a production cost in excess of ₹6 million (US$72,000) making it the costliest Bollywood music video ever made?
- ... that the Grammy Award winning Sound Mixing engineer P.A.Deepak (pictured) turned composer with the song "Hum Na Tode"?
- ... that for the song "Party All Night" 600 foreign models were hired as background dancers?
- ... that the song "Hum Na Tode" is a Hindi adapted song of the Tamil song "Appadi Podu"?
- ... that the 1986 song "Har Kisi Ko Nahi Milta" composed by Kalyanji Anandji was reprised by composer Chirantan Bhatt in soft rock genre for the upcoming film Boss?
Note - Due to my earlier misconception of the meaning of billion and million respectively there was a slight mistake and instead of 6 Million INR the hooks consisted of 6 Billion INR figures. Thus these figures were timely noted and corrected.Sohambanerjee1998 12:02, 18 September 2013 (UTC) Titoda, these are the hooks. In case any one of them fail choose another. - The hook should be interesting and have universal appeal. Hook #5 and #6 are not interesting. And try to hook the film like Did you know.. the film Boss.. Add the word (pictured) in hook. See few films' DYK nominations: Template:Did you know nominations/Bhakta Vidur, Template:Did you know nominations/Che'r Cycle for help. About hook #2, #3, Sinha charged 6 billion rupees? Sounds impossible. I'll check. --Tito☸Dutta 16:11, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
- I can not find the source which mentions "6 billion", I don't know how those YouTube videos are supporting information in the article. News articles might be better option. Some portion of the article still needs copyediting. Few sections are unsourced. And, please try to fix the "6 billion" issue as soon as possible. Else, I'll tag "neutrality disputed" or "hoax" soon. Most probably Ra One is the most expensive Indian film, where the budget of the whole film was 1.3 billion something. And Sinha is charging 6 billion for just an appearance. Are you sure it is not million? --Tito☸Dutta 16:19, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
- No no the film budget is not 6 billion the music video's budget is. The other thing is news articles are supplemented they are after Sonakshi Sinha's third appearance. Sohambanerjee1998 16:32, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
- The ref's 8,9 & 10 are news sources with TOI and India Times as source. Sohambanerjee1998 16:34, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
- Titoda, two things I have solved the copyediting issue about 75% will complete it soon and nothing is unsourced, its wasnt earlier just rearrangement was required. How much is it expanded? Any issues regarding length or do I need to suggest any more hooks? Solved most of the issues, please list the remaining ones. Best, Sohambanerjee1998 16:05, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
- You should make changes with a note that you are changing, else, the discussion becomes meaningless. Please finish all the tasks first. --Tito☸Dutta 03:13, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
- Tito, please state those tasks since the word ALL is pretty ambiguous to me atleast. If I don't know what the tasks are how can I solve them? Hope you'll understand. Sohambanerjee1998 06:13, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
- Titoda another thing, which hook should be used among hooks 1,2 and 4 since these hooks have images but the article has space for only one image and that image will be in accordance with the hook so please choose one. Sohambanerjee1998 06:13, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
- I suggested you to add a note that you have made changes in the hooks above. Rewrite the selected 2—3 hooks below. Still multiple unsourced sections Boss_(2013_Hindi_film)#Critical_Reception. The section needs to be rewritten. There is no need to add full review of Mohar Basu. --Tito☸Dutta 06:23, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
- Tito, two things the review of Mohar Basu is only on one site, Koimoi therefore will have only one source. The review is humongous and therefore I tried hard to provide the full review in a small length and ended up that way. Hope that covers the unsourced issue. If you don't want to add the full review therefore only the conclusion should be added and that would lead to close paraphrasing issue since the review is such that one can't take parts of it. Sohambanerjee1998 12:02, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
- Please fix the issues. Where are sources Boss_(2013_Hindi_film)#Critical_Reception? Add named refs after every paragraph. The article is not on the review. From where is close paraphrasing coming here? --Tito☸Dutta 13:34, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
- Tito added the references after each para as you requested. Sohambanerjee1998 14:06, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
- PLEASE fix all issues before replying. Still there is unsourced paragraph, and remove at least 2/3rd of the Mohar Basu review. --Tito☸Dutta 14:10, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
- Titoda
- Unsourced para issue fixed
- Trimmed Mohar Basu review. Sohambanerjee1998 09:58, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Alright, now suggest one or two (not more than two at a time) hook, I'll make required changes. New articles are being published which might be covered too (optional). The film is Ronit Roy's first major villainous role — that is an exciting news and might be a nice hook. --Tito☸Dutta 10:16, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
- Yes absolutely, the link is used in citing Ronit Roy's name in the film.Sohambanerjee1998 11:14, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
- The ref's 8,9 & 10 are news sources with TOI and India Times as source. Sohambanerjee1998 16:34, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
- Did you know
- ALT1 ... that the upcoming film Boss will mark actor Ronit Roy's (pictured) first role as an antagonist and second consecutive one as that of a cop after Shootout at Wadala?
How's this one? Sohambanerjee1998 12:07, 19 September 2013 (UTC) Tito, second hook -
- Did you know
- ... that the 1986 song "Har Kisi Ko Nahi Milta" composed by Kalyanji Anandji was reprised by composer Chirantan Bhatt in soft rock genre for the upcoming film Boss?
- Please do so only when you have recovered fully as I don't want to put more stress on you. Sohambanerjee1998 09:52, 21 September 2013 (UTC)
- Minor close paraphrasing has been found here, here (this one is negotiable, but change wording of "the presence of multiple music directors". Tito☸Dutta 13:40, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
- Tito, this is in the review section where I have to include the review of critics, if I don't include some word they have user it will not be critics review but instead my review. Most of the dups are sung by Yo Yo Honey Singh. Sohambanerjee1998 13:52, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
- And that's why we rewrite. If you use direct quotes of reviewers, add those in quotation marks, else, rewrite. Tito☸Dutta 14:01, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
- Fixed the issues not the names, could'n't change Honey Singh's name to Hunny Singh though. Sohambanerjee1998 14:17, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
could'n't change Honey Singh's name to Hunny Singh though
— what does it mean? Did I ask to change proper nouns? Are you joking? --Tito☸Dutta 14:52, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, those dup messages contained names also, :) How is it now? Sohambanerjee1998 15:11, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
- Don't you know "proper nouns" are not included in "close paraphrasing". Or was it a sarcasm? --Tito☸Dutta 15:18, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
- It was'n't sarcasm, I am tired (extremely because of School) its just because I am new to close paraphrasing and I wanted the article to be free of each and every issue (even little ones like sentences missing fullstops {.}). More so because of the fact that most wikipedia film related articles have literally lifted from the sources. Sohambanerjee1998 15:23, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
- BTW how's your health now? Sohambanerjee1998 15:25, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
- Please do so only when you have recovered fully as I don't want to put more stress on you. Sohambanerjee1998 09:52, 21 September 2013 (UTC)
- ALT1 is good to go. Image is fine. Do you want a special occasion run, 11 Oct is Ronit Roy's birthday and 16 Oct is film's release date. Tito☸Dutta 01:37, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks Special Occassion please, 16 October the film's release date. Thanks for reviewing. Sohambanerjee1998 13:11, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
