British military intervention in the Sierra Leone Civil War
edit- ... that, in preparation for British military intervention in the Sierra Leone Civil War, two CH-47 Chinooks (similar aircraft pictured) conducted the longest self-deployment of helicopters in British history?

- Comment: I would have nominated this earlier, but I have limited Internet access and I've been waiting on some research material. I believe it is still eligible under WP:DYKAR#D9

- Article
- New: under WP:DYKAR#D9, and since nominator is creator I am AGF that internet access issues are a major cause of lateness.
- Long enough: most certainly.
- Under Policy: is neutral, sources cited at all paragraphs, and appears free of copyright violations.
- Hook
- Format: is 204 characters, very close to limit (slightly over), but the Article in questions does not state that only two Chinooks were used for this record, just that Chinooks were used. Potential rewrite of DYK is recommended.
- Content: is interesting, is accurate and cited, is neutral.
- Other
- QPQ: another article was reviewed.
- Image: Fair use, is used in article, and shows up well at small size.
- All in all a good choice for a DYK, only potential issue is the length of the hook and the wording. Tartarus talk 02:18, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
- Wow, thanks for spotting that (that's the advantage of having someone else read your article!); I've modified the article slightly. Could you have another look? HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 16:51, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
