Burmese chronicles
edit- ... that extant Burmese chronicles are the most extensive and detailed historical records available in Southeast Asia but many lesser known chronicles remain unstudied?

- I said "ooh" when I opened the article. However, there are several unreferenced statements and way too many Fair-Use images. These need to be dealt with before further review can take place. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 09:05, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review. I'll try to figure out what the appropriate tags I need to put in for the images but in the mean time, I'll remove them from the article. (If you can help me with that, I'd appreciate it very much. I've never been able to navigate the image copyright gauntlet well.) The image issue aside, could you be a bit more specific on "several unreferenced statements?" I've put in a number of citations. Many of them are available on the web and/or are still in print. Please give me a couple of examples. Thanks. Hybernator (talk) 23:06, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
- I wasn't talking about the lede. The last paragraph of #Overview, "However, not all inscriptions are reliable records of secular events. The famous Kalyani Inscriptions (1476), for example, make claims of legitimacy of the Hanthawaddy monarchy on religious grounds.", a paragraph and couple sentences in #Early chronicles, etc. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:33, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
- All right, added more references. Thanks. Hybernator (talk) 01:12, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- Last paragraph of overview, definition of biographic chronicles, definition of regional chronicles, "(Two Lan Na chronicles of the Chiang Mai Chronicle and the Nan Chronicle have also been translated into English.)", miscellaneous. The lists look unreferenced too. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 02:03, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, Take 3. I see you're just looking for any sentences without a reference, and hopefully, I've added enough of them to a satisfactory level (without disrupting the flow of the article itself.) The lists are fully tagged, (I think), although most of the items in the lists are also mentioned and already referenced in the prior text. Anyway, it's all good. Makes it a better article. Please review once more. Hybernator (talk) 02:32, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
- Still last paragraph of #overview, "Those that survived did so only because private individuals outside the capital had painstakingly copied the original palm leaf manuscripts", #biographic chronicles, #Regional chronicles, etc... — Crisco 1492 (talk) 00:18, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
- Take 4. Added refs on "Those that survived" plus additional notes on the enablers. On #biographic chronicles, the refs are already there in the list below. Anyway, added the refs in line for clarity. On #Regional chronicles, which ones are you thinking of? As far as I can see, all tagged. Hybernator (talk) 16:06, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
- Looks good to go. AGF on the offline sources. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 14:26, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
