Departures (film)

edit

Set for Departures

  • ... that Departures (set pictured) received much praise for the beauty of its funerals?
  • ALT1 ... that Departures (set pictured) drew parallels between cellists and morticians?
  • ALT2 ... that Departures (set pictured) became the highest-grossing Japanese film of 2008 despite strong cultural taboos against its themes?

  • Expanded enough, expansion young enough, neutral enough, no copyvio or plagiarism in the sources I could check. Occasionally sloppy prose (but who isn't occasionally sloppy?) which I've noted some examples of on the talk page where I couldn't fix them. QPQ done. ALT1 is the best hook in my opinion, but I can't see that explicitly cited in the text. Will be good to go if that is sorted. (Picture is OK but at DYK thumbnail size may as well be an abstract expressionist painting.) Belle (talk) 11:23, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
  • Alt1 is sourced following the block quote in #Style (sentence starting "Yakita drew parallels..."). I might have to mention Yakita in the hook, but that's not much of an issue. that Yojiro Takita, director of Departures...". Thanks for reviewing Belle. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 11:55, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
No that's fine, this is ready to go. I recommend ALT1 (without the picture unless there is a dearth of photos of acrobatic penguins, moustachioed gents in smoking jackets going over Niagara Falls in a barrel, or policeman chasing scantily clad nurses with feather dusters) Belle (talk) 12:48, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
