Ed Carpenter Racing

edit

5x expanded by ZappaOMati (talk). Nominated by NFLisAwesome (talk) at 19:53, 14 November 2013 (UTC).

  • Apologies but at 1382 characters, check in MS Word the article is too small at this time to meet the DYK criteria. Wee Curry Monster talk 10:27, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Really? I used the character counter and got over 1600 characters; guess I counted wrong. Just give me some time, and I'll address it. NFLisAwesome (ZappaOMati's alternate account) 17:58, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
  • @Wee Curry Monster: Hm,I used this, and got 1594 characters. NFLisAwesome (ZappaOMati's alternate account) 18:06, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Full review needed; article is above the minimum 1500 prose characters required for DYK. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:18, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
  • No it is not long enough, you need to review how to assess articles properly. It is the amount of readable prose that counts. See Wikipedia:Did you know/Article length. This article is still a stub. Wee Curry Monster talk 12:32, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Article was expanded in 3 edits after my review. If you'd told me it had been expanded I would have happily reviewed it. However, after being falsely criticised for my original review you can now find someone else to do it. Wee Curry Monster talk 13:41, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Since there were no accusations of any kind, I don't understand what the fuss is. The original article was 1586 prose characters according to DYKcheck—the gold standard in terms of determining the character count for DYK-nominated articles—and that is the true size of the article you reviewed on November 15. After the expansion (those three edits you refer to), the article was expanded to 1860 prose characters, again according to DYKcheck. Using MS Word is not the best tool: note that prose characters include spaces, but don't include headers, lists, and various other items like inline source citation numbers. I'm happy to call for a new reviewer:
  • New reviewer needed to give a full review of article and hook. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:02, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

I count over 1800 characters, which makes it definitely long enough. New enough too. Inline citations present and correct. I am however, worried about the hook due to WP:SELFPUB. The supporting reference is from the team itself. I believe you should be able to find an independent source for the hook, or change the hook. No QPQ as of yet, either. • @Cloudz679: Additional ref has been provided. QPQ will be done in a few moments. ZappaOMati 02:25, 19 November 2013 (UTC)

SELFPUB concerns have now been addressed. Still waiting for QPQ. C679 08:34, 19 November 2013 (UTC)

Good to go. C679 10:00, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
