  • New enough, long enough, fully referenced. Main hook makes no sense - stricken. AGF on offline sources. Main hook (233 characters) and ALT1 (238 characters) are too long. No QPQ required. Image has appropriate licence. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 10:20, 24 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Here, I simplified the source from 10 to 9, which is a bundle of individual cites. L293D ( • ) 01:16, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Huh? That footnote is at the end of the following sentence: "A Consolidated B-24 Liberator heavy bomber from No. 311 Squadron RAF sank Alsterufer later that afternoon." Does not mention T23 at all. MPS1992 (talk) 10:52, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
That's the source for the first part of ALT4. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 11:45, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Clarified. L293D ( • ) 12:06, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
  • The directly cited facts in the article now say "A Consolidated B-24 Liberator heavy bomber from No. 311 Squadron RAF sank Alsterufer later that afternoon" and "All of the ships in the southern group, including T23, were able to successfully disengage." MPS1992 (talk) 12:10, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
  • No, not at all. Fn 9 and 10 are cite bundles, meaning they cite several books and several pages for the preceding para. L293D ( • ) 12:13, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
  • OK, but citing the paragraph is not enough to meet 3b. It explicitly says Citations at the end of the paragraph are not sufficient. MPS1992 (talk) 12:19, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Done. L293D ( • ) 12:25, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
  • The eligibility criteria refer to the content of the nominated article, not the contents of this DYK nomination page. MPS1992 (talk) 12:29, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Is it good like this now? I've rearranged the cites so it specifically cites the Admiralty sending cruisers. The Alsterufer cite is already at the end of the sentence. L293D ( • ) 12:44, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Seems OK now. Thank you. MPS1992 (talk) 12:46, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
