Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane
edit- ... that the children's novel Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane was praised for its discussions of revenge, murder, and betrayal? Source: "Gregor forges on, fueled by hatred for the rats that killed his sister. Prepared to heartlessly slaughter The Bane, Gregor is amazed to find his enemy is only a helpless baby rat, reminiscent of Boots. Gregor spares its life and returns to Regalia, only to face charges of treason for abandoning his mission." from this VOYA review
- ALT1:... that Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane has been licensed to publish in 20 different languages? Source (table, couldn't quote it)

- This newly promoted GA is long enough and has been nominated soon enough. The article is neutral and although Earwig produces a worryingly high 72% figure, I find this all represents quotations and is therefore acceptable. I find ALT1 unsatisfactory, a publisher can have the right to publish a book, it is not the book which is licensed. Nor do I approve ALT0. The critic quoted in the article does not support the "revenge, murder, and betrayal" theme. Could you not have a hook about the development of the characters of the protagonists? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:56, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Cwmhiraeth: - Thanks for your review. How about one of these two hooks?
- ALT2 ... that Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane was praised by critics for its portrayal of strong and healthy sibling relationships? source
- ALT3 ... that the children's novel Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane was noted for its alternation of humor and terror throughout its plot? direct quote for "humor and terror" other source (CCBC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2ReinreB2 (talk • contribs) 21:32, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
- If the only two hooks provided are deemed unsatisfactory, then I don't understand how this can be approved for promotion. Superseding tick until Cwmhiraeth finds a hook that works. (I have reformatted the two newly proposed hooks with proper ALT numbers.) BlueMoonset (talk) 03:05, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
- Approving ALT2 and ALT3, which both have inline citations. (My previous tick was an error. I had been going to approve the nomination before I came to the conclusion that neither hook was acceptable, and I forgot to change the symbol.) Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:22, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
