John Blackadder (soldier)
edit- ... that John Blackadder (pictured), when a young officer in the Scottish Army, killed a fellow-officer in a duel in 1691?

- Comment: Feels like it may be 5x expanded, but perhaps borderline - please check. The second hook is entirely for frivolous reasons, and might perhaps be worth keeping for 1 April, if we're doing that this year.
5x expanded by Andrew Gray (talk). Self nominated at 20:16, 3 March 2013 (UTC).
- Meets all requirements for DYK, including referencing, creation date and size. Certainly is tempting for Fish Day, but I think it'll be catchy enough on its own too. A Blackadder reference works any day! :) Miyagawa (talk) 23:51, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
- My second hook vanished somewhere! Oh well. It is possible to twist a "Captain Blackadder" line out of it, but unfortunately he didn't do anything hookishly catchy between 1693 and 1705. Andrew Gray (talk) 09:30, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
