Jun Bernardino Trophy
edit- ... that a Philippine Basketball Association team that successfully defends the Philippine Cup for three consecutive times, will permanently keep the Jun Bernardino Trophy (pictured)?

Review Length and timing checks out. Went from 627 characters to 4439, so there was at least a 5X expansion. Is currently ca. 5146 characters. Source supports hook line. I fixed citation formats and did some small editing. Interesting and well referenced article. If I were to criticize, it would only be that the original source article mentions how certain teams had won championships 2 times in a row, but this is a small point, and trying to paraphrase that material could be tricky. No issues regarding image. No plagiarism or copy vio concerns; plagiarism checker uncovered no violations; and close inspection/reading showed no parallelism or close paraphrasing issues. I thought the picture in the article was striking. Well done! 7&6=thirteen (☎) 15:08, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
Hook might use the words "solid 24 carat gold".That is also supported by the sources. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 16:02, 27 August 2012 (UTC)- The submitter says I got it wrong, and that this is gold plate. At least one of the sources said "solid" and "24 carat". And it said it was worth ₱500,000, which would tend to support that theorem. But I defer to your expertise, as this is a new area to me. In any event, I agree with him, and withdraw my suggestion. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 16:28, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
- I also saw evidence of only two prior DYKs on his talk or userpage, so I don't think there is an issue about having to do a QPQ review. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 16:32, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
- The hook line is directly supported by at least these two newspaper articles: "PBA names perpetual trophy after Bernardino". Philippine Daily Inquirer. March 27, 2007. Retrieved August 27, 2012. "Perpetual Cup to go to PBA 3-peat winner". Manila Bulletin. January 23, 2007. Retrieved August 27, 2012. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 01:20, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
