KOF Index of Globalization

  • - While the length and date are good, Earwigs Copyvio detector flagged the article with a 91% confidence rating. From a spot check it appears the article is a close paraphrasing/partial copy of this. I am also concerned about the article meeting potentially not meeting our general notability guidelines. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Mifter (talk) 05:49, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Thank you for your diligence and patience Mifter. On inspection the foundational content of the article was taken from that website. I have reported the article for investigation according to WP:CV101, but I would appreciate you checking that I have done so correctly. (And I have resigned as an AFC reviewer, since of the two articles I have accepted into mainspace, both have ended up being copyvios.) Regards, Triptothecottage (talk) 06:44, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
@Triptothecottage: I'll take a look now. Also, you shouldn't feel the need to resign as an AFC reviewer, this is a completely understandable mistake which I'm sure you won't make again. Funnily enough, I made the same mistake of not checking for copyvios when I was working in DYK a number of years ago. It doesn't make you a bad reviewer, it makes you human. Just run articles through Earwigs in the future and you should be good to go. Don't beat yourself up, we all make mistakes. The key is learning from them.
