- Agree with Conti: I think a non-Jimbo-related one would be better, perhaps something about the 'iron grip' on the diary (Blair quote). The balls one would be very "hooky" but probably a bridge too far in terms of BLP cuteness. Iron grip seems reasonable and fits the theme of the attention to detail staffer, that all the sources show.TCO (talk) 21:56, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
The article is at AfD. I'm not sure why this was nominated for DYK when the result isn't clear. SL93 (talk) 02:49, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
- Had to beat the 5 day deadline CallawayRox (talk) 18:32, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
- It survived AFD. CallawayRox (talk) 17:25, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
- ALT1 *... that Kate Garvey was Tony Blair's diary secretary?
- ALT2 *... that Kate Garvey managed Tony Blair's diary with a "grip of iron"?
- Article needs a full review now that it has survived AfD. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:59, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- I reviewed this article yesterday, but I forgot to post a review. I apologize to the creators and the nominator. Anyway, the article meets all DYK criteria - long enough, new enough, reliably referenced, and no copyright issues. I assume good faith on the reference that isn't online. - This article is new enough and long enough. The ALT1 and ALT2 hooks are suitably referenced. I prefer ALT2. (I see I have been overtaken in the race to review this article!) Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:49, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
