Kiritsugu Emiya
edit... that Kiritsugu Emiya was created to be the protagonist of Fate/Zero to have one of the most tragic stories in the series?- ALT1:
... that Kiritsugu Emiya's final line before his death in a flashback from Fate/stay Night was emotional to the staff?
- ALT1:
Created by Tintor2 (talk). Self-nominated at 20:23, 23 February 2019 (UTC).
- Commenting here after the nominator left me a talk page, since he's not very experienced with DYK. Tintor2 DYK rules require that hooks regarding fiction (i.e. hooks about stories, their characters, their settings, etc.) should involve the real world instead of fully focusing on in-universe information. Meaning, a hook that only discusses what happens in the story is generally not allowed, rather, that it should involve something in real life. For example, a hook saying "... that Pikachu was Ash Ketchum's first Pokémon?" is not acceptable, but "... that a protein has been named after Pikachu?" is acceptable. Just as advise. In any case, I personally do not find either ALT0 or ALT1 as interesting to a broad audience (meaning it might appeal to fans of the Fate franchise, but no much everyone else). I'm willing to give you more advice or give this a full review, if you wish. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 23:42, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5: Thanks. The original and the alt I provided involve real world people. The first one involves how writer Gen Urobuchi wants to write him while the second comes from Rikiya Koyama's performance which surprised the anime staff. By any chance did you mistake and thought it was in-universe? You think the two nominations should be reworded?Tintor2 (talk) 23:47, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
- How about? ALT2:
... that the character Kiritsugu Emiya was written by Gen Urobuchi as having a tragic life while serving as a prequel for Fate/stay night?Source: Urobuchi, Gen; Takeuchi, Takashi (2005). Fate/Zero. Vol. 1. Type-Moon. pp. 234–236.- Or ALT3:
... that Kiritsugu's dying line from the anime Fate/stay Night by Rikiya Koyama surprised the staff and the actor himself for the emotional tone it brought?Source: TYPE-MOON 10th Anniversary Phantasm. Type Moon. p. 174.
- Or ALT3:
- Full review needed now that more hooks have been proposed. Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 19:08, 17 March 2019 (UTC)
- This article is new enough and long enough. The ALT2 hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. A QPQ has been done. Approving ALT2 and striking the other hooks. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:36, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
- Hi, I came by to promote ALT2, but the hook wording makes no sense to me. Do you mean:
- ALT2a: ... that the tragic early life of the character Kiritsugu Emiya was written by Gen Urobuchi as a prequel to Fate/stay night, which has a happy ending?
- Personally, I like ALT3. Yoninah (talk) 21:55, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: Sounds good to me.Tintor2 (talk) 22:22, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks. Pinging @Cwmhiraeth: to review ALT2a, although I would also like to know why ALT3 was struck. Yoninah (talk) 22:38, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
- Approving ALT2a. I struck ALT3 because I couldn't find the staff being surprised at the emotional tone anywhere. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:22, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Cwmhiraeth: Oh. OK. Thanks for the tick. Yoninah (talk) 14:23, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
