Krishnapada Ghosh
edit... that the West Bengal United Front Labour Minister Krishnapada Ghosh was jailed from 1948 to 1952?

- @Soman: This article is new enough and long enough. The article is neutral and neither Earwig nor I detected any policy issues. The hook has an inline citation but gives the impression that he was gaoled while he was Labour Minister, whereas he was actually imprisoned twenty years earlier. Can you rephrase the hook? ... that Krishnapada Ghosh, Labour Minister for the West Bengal Cabinet of 1969, had been jailed from 1948 to 1952?
- Approving ALT1 and my rewrite, ALT1a, as being clearer and having inline citations for the hook facts. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 11:26, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, I came by to promote this, but I'm having trouble understanding how this is hooky. It doesn't even say what he was jailed for. What do you think about something like this:
- ALT2: ... that during Krishnapada Ghosh's term as Labour Minister in the second United Front government of West Bengal, police were instructed not to intervene against striking workers?
- However, I'm not able to find anything about this fact in pp. 59-60 of the source given. Yoninah (talk) 20:32, 21 January 2017 (UTC)
- Quote from the ref ""Controlling the ministries of home, labor and land, the party ordered the police not to interfere in class struggles in the cities - where labor militancy secured better wages, the registration of new trade unions and the legalization of gheraos" --Soman (talk) 22:25, 21 January 2017 (UTC)
