Lepiota cristata
edit... that despite lacking the deadly toxin characteristic of small species of its genus, the Stinking Dapperling mushroom (pictured) is probably still poisonous?
- Comment: QPQ done - see Nidhogg (video game). This is a WikiCup nomination. :)

- This article is a five-fold expansion and is new enough and long enough. The hook is sourced, the image appropriately licensed and I saw no evidence of close paraphrasing. QPQ done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 14:24, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
- The primary hook fact, about "lacking the deadly toxin", was removed from the article shortly after the above review. A new hook will need to be devised. BlueMoonset (talk) 12:13, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
- Here's a better one - ALT 1:
... that up until recently, a potentially deadly confusion between the potentially poisonous Stinking Dapperling (pictured) and edible parasol mushrooms existed, which may have contributed to incidents of poisoning?
- Someone can probably word this better though. Due to their considerable work on the article, it'd be great if Sasata could also be credited for this. Thanks, Acather96 (click here to contact me) 14:11, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
- ALT2 ... that the stinking dapperling mushroom (pictured) is variously described as having a sweet, fishy or pungent odour?
- The lead mentions a smell of burnt rubber but that is not mentioned in the body of the text nor either of the two sources mentioned for the odour. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:06, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah sure, that looks great. Cheers @Cwmhiraeth:! Acather96 (click here to contact me) 08:18, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

Does this need the tick again from reviewers or does the above one suffice? :) Acather96 (click here to contact me) 20:36, 15 January 2014 (UTC)

- What do you think of
- ALT3 ... that the stinking dapperling (pictured) is possibly poisonous?
- Whatever the hook, the image shows so clearly mushrooms that we don't need to say so if the picture is taken. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:01, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
Yes @Gerda Arendt:, that looks great - short, sharp and too the point. :) Acather96 (click here to contact me) 16:31, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
- Now who's going to approve it? I can't ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:36, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
- Reviewer needed to check ALT hooks. (I struck ALT1, which was objected to by earlier reviewer.) Note: if ALT3 is not run as a lead hook, then "(pictured)" should probably be replaced by "mushroom" so people have some idea of what the hook's about. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:06, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
