- Article has been greatly expanded from a redirect to nearly 10K of prose. No obvious copyvio concerns that I can find. However, the concern I have is that the main hook doesn't seem to have lots of sources, given it seemingly refers to a debate in the House of Commons. The hook is verified to the source given, saying that SNP MP Joanna Cherry held up a picture of Hoshikawa, cross referencing the BBC, but the BBC source doesn't mention anything about this. I'll see if I can check Hansard to see if there's any reference there. Also, QPQ needs doing. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 15:25, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- I went and checked around, and several other sources do mention Lily's display: [1] (Otaquest) [2] (Comic Book Resources [3] (ComicBook.com) [4] (Techcrunch) [5] Museum Wales. It should be noted that the fourth source does not mention Lily by name, only describing the image as "a cartoon figure with a photo of a real hand holding a gun pointed at the viewer". As the character is largely only relevant within anime fandom subculture, journalists in more mainstream sources aren't likely to recognize her and point out her appearance, so I don't imagine there'll be too many references mentioning it outside specifically anime and pop culture sources where the writers for those sources would take an interest in this occurrence. Not sure if that helps or hurts things, but it is (probably) true. silvia (BlankpopsiclesilviaASHs4) (inquire within) 16:33, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- Comment QPQ has now been done. silvia (BlankpopsiclesilviaASHs4) (inquire within) 16:57, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- Okay, I've checked the sources and I see it wasn't a parliamentary session, but a select committee meeting. I think the hook should qualify this, something like - ALT2 ... that Joanna Cherry showed a printed copy of an internet meme featuring Lily Hoshikawa during a UK Parliamentary committee meeting? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:32, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- I have no issue with that change to the hook. silvia (BlankpopsiclesilviaASHs4) (inquire within) 17:39, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
