... that when designing the character Madoka Kaname, Ume Aoki used Yuno, the protagonist of her manga series Hidamari Sketch as a basis? Source: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Production Note (Limited Edition) (in Japanese). SHAFT. p. 135. ISBN978-4896106268.
ALT1:... that the character Madoka Kaname was originally intended to have white as a theme color, but this was changed to pink as designer Ume Aoki had forgotten? Source: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Official Guidebook: You Are Not Alone (in Japanese). Houbunsha. p. 106. ISBN978-4832240612.
Comment: The article has been promoted to GA status per the addition of an icon; however, for some reason the GA review page hasn't been updated to reflect this, I am willing to put the nomination on hold until that is resolved. Requesting a special occasion date of January 7, 2021 (Japan time if we're still doing two sets a day then), the 10th anniversary of Puella Magi Madoka Magica's premiere.
Overall: Who doesn't love Madokers. And who'd have thunk she was supposed to be like Yuno from Hidamari. I guess they both have the wide face. Would love to the main page adorned by the Madoka majestic. You love to see it. jp×g 00:08, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
@Yoninah: Are you okay with the special occasion date, or would you prefer this to run as a regular hook? Narutolovehinata5tccsdnew 10:49, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
@Narutolovehinata5: yes, since we're already up to building the January 7 set. I'll move this to special occasions. Best, Yoninah (talk) 11:11, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
@Narutolovehinata5: Please add an inline cite for the ALT1 hook fact. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 23:52, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
@Yoninah: The relevant sentence is already cited: the sentence in question goes Although Madoka's theme color was initially intended to be white as suggested by Urobuchi in the series' draft, Aoki forgot this when designing the character, and changed the main color of Madoka to pink.Narutolovehinata5tccsdnew 01:38, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
Sorry, I meant ALT0. And now I see the inline cite for that too. Yoninah (talk) 11:58, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
