Musikhjälpen

edit

Musikhjälpen-house in Malmö

Created by GoingBatty (talk), Werldwayd (talk), and BabbaQ (talk). Nominated by BabbaQ (talk) at 15:47, 10 December 2013 (UTC).

  • As Musikhjälpen is broadcasted right now and until 15 December I suggest if it passes posting it before the end of the show.--BabbaQ (talk) 15:54, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
  • The article was effectively created on 7 December 2013, and hence qualifies as new per the time of this nomination. Checks for copyvio don't reveal any problems. The article exceeds 1,500 characters. Every paragraph has at least one inline citation. A problem is that the content in the hook "and was sold after an offer of 126,100 SEK" is not stated by the news source cited in the article ([1]), so this needs to be corrected. Northamerica1000(talk) 00:52, 1 January 2014 (UTC)
I have fixed an alt1 hook.--BabbaQ (talk) 02:19, 1 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Striking original hook; ALT1 hook needs reviewing, though I have to say that it doesn't strike me as interesting, as I've never heard of any of the hosts listed. Maybe there are enough people who will know who they are? Or perhaps another ALT with something more generally interesting can be found? BlueMoonset (talk) 17:34, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
I think personally that the people interested in reading about Musikhjälpen will know who they are. I think also that it may make more people interested in the article subjects if anything.--BabbaQ (talk) 17:55, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
I have added a ALT 2 alternative as well. Feel free to edit the hook.--BabbaQ (talk) 20:20, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
  • ALT2 will have to be edited, as it is currently too long for DYK. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:46, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
Hopefully this is better.--BabbaQ (talk) 16:55, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
  • ALT hooks still need reviewing; I made a minor fix to ALT2. Also, the one bare URL (FN20) will have to be fixed, and the 126,100 SEK number needs either to be supported or removed (I've added a "citation needed" template until it is). BlueMoonset (talk) 21:39, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Fixed the URL and removed the claim.--BabbaQ (talk) 11:20, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
You have some cheek in saying that you fixed the URL. ALT1 is short enough and sourced. ALT2 is short enough and sourced. How come you didn't nominate Emma Knyckare?--Launchballer 17:05, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
Well, what can I say I am a cheeky person;) sorry.. I didnt intend to make it sound like I did it actually ;). Yes I agree with you that ALT2 is the best. I have nominated Emma Knyckare.--BabbaQ (talk) 18:25, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
Oh. I didn't imply that ALT2 was better and in fact if you pick ALT1, you can actually merge the two nominations by boldening Emma Knyckare in the hook.--Launchballer 18:41, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
I guess whoever closes this DYK can make that decision, but that sounds good as well.--BabbaQ (talk) 19:13, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
  • This isn't the sort of thing that's a decision for the person who closes the nomination, BabbaQ; you need to decide whether you want to merge the two nominations or not. Please let us know yes or no—if yes, then ALT1 becomes the default hook and the others are struck, and the nomination is treated as a two-article nomination going forward. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:17, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Please merge them. Seems to be for the best.--BabbaQ (talk) 12:10, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
  • This is now a two-article hook; ALT1 is the one that covers both articles. Review needed here for the Emma Knyckare article (Launchballer, please feel free to copy the relevant portions of your existing review from the Emma Knyckare nomination) and to make sure it works with the ALT1 hook. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:28, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
Copied straight from the nomination: "is long enough, new enough, won't worry about the hook as yet, QPQ done, references are in Swedish so I can't check for copyvios. This is good to go". ALT1 is sourced and short enough.--Launchballer 09:28, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
  • I did a focused review on the proposed hooks, including ALT1 and the hook below, which is from the Emma Knyckare nomination (but edited) and which I'm calling ALT3.

Emma Knyckare (2013)

I can't verify either ALT 1 or ALT3 because all of the sources I've seen that identify participants in the 2013 event were published before the event occurred -- telling who was scheduled to participate. If the hook is going to say they did participate, it needs to be supported by a source published during or after the event. I much prefer ALT3 over ALT1 because the locked-in-a-glasshouse aspect is very interesting -- and it would be even better if the hook could say how long they were in the glasshouse (6 days is a long time). --Orlady (talk) 15:24, 31 January 2014 (UTC) Clarification: It appears that the Emma Knyckare article has sources (in Swedish) documenting her participation; if those sources also document who else was involved, adding them to the Musikhjälpen article would resolve my concerns. --Orlady (talk) 15:31, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
I think I have made the correct addition of the source now that you wanted Orlady. Might I suggest using Emma Knyckares picture instead for Musikhjälpens. So we could use ALT3 perhaps. --BabbaQ (talk) 16:59, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
Which cited source(s) should I look at to verify that these three people participated in the 2013 Musikhjälpen? --Orlady (talk) 00:38, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
Never mind. I found a source and added it to both articles. The ALT3 hook is good; AGF on the rest (per earlier reviews). I definitely prefer ALT3, which should be used with the image of Emma (if an image is used). --Orlady (talk) 00:50, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
