O heilges Geist- und Wasserbad, BWV 165
edit- ... that the 1715 Bach cantata O heilges Geist- und Wasserbad, BWV 165, relates to Jesus teaching Nicodemus (pictured) about "being born of water and of the Spirit" (John 3:5)?

- Please could you add further wikilinks to clarify "the second birth in the Spirit is the baptism as an act of mercy" - I would happily do it but don't want to drop a theological clanger, thanks, Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 14:24, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- I did two things: quote the cantata text and its translation (the last line mentions baptism, but I think to add that as well is too much), and rephrase my translation of Dürr, hope that helps.? The Suzuki source is best for the theological aspect, feel free to rephrase according to that. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:18, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
