Pre-Tolstojan

edit

Mosaic of Mercury as seen from Mariner 10

  • ... that location of Lobate scarps and their relative age, overlaid on a geometric map of Mercury using Mariner 10 Mosaics (pictured) indicate that these formations occurred in Pre-Tolstojan intercrater plains, and later in "Tolstojan and Calorian smooth plains units"?
  • Comment: Sorry, the nomination has been delayed by a few hours. I hope it will be accepted

  • Hook is too long at 253 characters ... and is difficult to parse. Sasata (talk) 09:00, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
  • How about Alt 1... that Pre-Tolstojan refers to the oldest period in the history of planet Mercury (pictured) from its moment of formation? --Nvvchar. 12:36, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Article is long and new enough; ALT1 is short enough (and comprehensible); and I've verified the hook fact online. Paraphrasing from sources is adequate. Sasata (talk) 17:47, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
