Pyxis
edit- ... that the constellation of Pyxis represents a ship's compass?

- Hi, great work on the page. By my count it's not quite long enough for DYK yet: closer to 4x then to 5x expansion of the original article. Maybe there is a little more material that could be added? Structure is good; also the tiny piece of preview on Google Books confirms the claim that Pyxis = compass, if not some of the smaller details. The hook is nice & simple and it works for me. - Although DYKcheck seems to indicate that there is a 5x issue, there actually isn't as best I can determine. The article had been stable at 710 prose characters for quite some time, and currently has 3824 prose characters, well over 5x expansion, which requires only 3550. There were a few instances well in the past of temporary character elevations, such as a quickly reversed enormous (and not properly formatted) reference section, and a couple of the "in popular culture" bullet point, when first added, were not bulleted though they've remained unchanged from the current bulleted version. (This is a known weakness of DYKcheck.) BlueMoonset (talk) 04:35, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
- Ready to go. It's definitely over the limit with the recent addition of ~800 characters. I think it actually was before, too, but I neglected the DYK rule that 'prose' excludes lists—so I was mistakenly including the "in popular culture section".
