- Article is new enough and long enough. AfD has been withdrawn by the nominator. But the main hook fact seems misleading. The hook says he holds US "national high jump records". In reality, he merely set the record for 15-16 year olds. This needs to be clarified. Cbl62 (talk) 17:46, 8 September 2013 (UTC)
- I like Alt2. I think I agree with Cbl62 that, if you don't follow high school track, the first hook seems misleading. I think ALT2 would be a nice sports DYK. --(AfadsBad (talk) 21:02, 12 September 2013 (UTC))
- Please review ALT2 then.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 16:23, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

- Note: have struck AfD notice and original hook. BlueMoonset (talk) 18:33, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
- ALT2 review: Format correct, getting a bit long at 191 but difficult to chop anything without losing accuracy, both facts present in article and correctly cited. Article: copyvio clean, length fine, under 2 days old at nom time, citation requirements met, NPOV fine, no BLP concerns. I have struck ALT1 per nominator's request to review ALT2. Six weeks on, good to go! Baldy Bill (sharpen the razor|see my reflection) 21:17, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
