- @Winged Blades of Godric: Well, that was the most trivial/hooky fact I found about her. Can you suggest one? It is difficult but I still suggest one more.-Nizil (talk) 11:38, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
- ALT1:
... that Indian social worker Sharda Mehta picketed in front of the liquor shops?
- I actually kind of liked ALT0, but eh. Another possibility could be to combine ALT0 and ALT1:

- With that said, I am not very fond of ALT1: @Nizil Shah: Could you find sources that expand on exactly why she picketed in front of liquor shops? If that can be done, that might work as a hook. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 10:33, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Winged Blades of Godric and Narutolovehinata5: I could not find direct reason in the sources that say why Sharda Mehta picketed liquor shops. But during the disobedience movement, the protesters picketed liquor shops with the aim of "reducing the evils of drinking as well as preventing the Government from raising income through excise duty on alcoholic drinks." as per these sources:[1][2]. It was the important feature of the disobedience movement and the picketing were frequently led by women. ALT2 combination is OK if you prefer. ALT0 was the best I could find. Any other suggestion is also welcome. Regards,-Nizil (talk) 11:32, 25 February 2019 (UTC)

- Full review needed; the ALT2 hook looks workable, and even if it ultimately is not, the nomination needs a complete review. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:46, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
- Article is new enough and long enough at the time of the nomination. The article is free of close paraphrasing, the article is adequately sources, is neutral, and well-written. A QPQ has been done. As I proposed ALT2, I will leave the choice of hook to another reviewer; however, the fact about her picketing doesn't have an inline citation. My impression is that it uses the Rajgor reference as a source, but DYK requires hook fact sentences to have an inline citation. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 09:42, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5:, thank you for the review. I have added an inline citation as well as a note.-Nizil (talk) 14:00, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
- Missed the ping. Every state had it's first or second or third or nth woman graduate. There's nothing unusual or hooky, unless that is contrasted with something. ALT1 is even more non-hooky. Meh about ALT
12; we need to realize that all new articles are not DYK stuff as much as every decent article is not GA stuff. ∯WBGconverse 12:43, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Winged Blades of Godric: Are you fine with ALT2, though? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:47, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
- As noted by Narutolovehinata5, this article is new enough and long enough. The ALT1 and ALT2 hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. Striking ALT0 as uninteresting. A QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:52, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
- Hi, I came by to promote this, but I would have also struck ALT1 and ALT2 as uninteresting. Please tell us why she picketed liquor shops. Yoninah (talk) 20:43, 30 March 2019 (UTC)

- Is ALT0 (struck) seem interesting? Can you suggest another hook? I have proposed two more hooks below.-Nizil (talk) 04:14, 31 March 2019 (UTC)
- ALT3:
...that Indian women's education proponent Sharda Mehta wrote a biography of English social reformer Florence Nightingale in Gujarati language? - ALT4: ... that Indian social worker Sharda Mehta organised a protest against indentured servitude in 1917?
