Susan Leeman
edit... that Susan Leeman is considered one of the founders of neuroendocrinology?
Created by Samwalton9 (talk). Self nominated at 19:35, 31 July 2014 (UTC).
- New enough. Long enough. Dup detector reveals no close paraphrasing or copyvios. Well-cited. The hook is cited, but our neuroendocrinology page states that "Ernst and Berta Scharrer, of the University of Munich the Albert Einstein College of Medicine are credited as co-founders the field of neuroendocrinology with their initial observations and proposals in 1945 concerning neuropeptides." Leeman didn't get her PhD until 1958, so I think a different hook will be needed. QPQ needed. Edwardx (talk) 20:22, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
- Have been meaning to get round to the QPQ, will do so soon. On the hook issue though - that line isn't actually cited in the neuroendocrinology article (the source in the sentence is the mentioned paper). Might have to investigate. Sam Walton (talk) 21:06, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
- Alt 1: ... that Susan Leeman was the first woman elected to the National Academy of Sciences in physiology and pharmacology? Sam Walton (talk) 11:39, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
- Samwalton9, it's been nearly four weeks since you said you'd do the QPQ "soon", and it's still undone. Please get to it in the next days, or someone may close the nomination, which would be a shame. When the QPQ has been completed, I'll call for a reviewer to check your ALT1 proposal. (I just struck the original hook, since I gather it can't be confirmed in a reliable source.) Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:10, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
- Oops, completely forgot about this. QPQ now done. Sam Walton (talk) 09:05, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
