The Big Honey Hunt
edit- ... that The Big Honey Hunt by Stan and Jan Berenstain was the first book to feature the Berenstain Bears?
- Comment: I'm not crazy about the hook. I hope some others will propose a better alternative(s). Also, I'm fairly new to this DYK process, so I'm not entirely sure of what I'm doing.
Created/expanded by Bobnorwal (talk). Self nom at 16:32, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- ALT1 ... that the first Berenstain Bears book was tentatively titled Freddy Bear's Spanking before becoming The Big Honey Hunt?
ALT2 ... that Dr. Seuss helped Stan and Jan Berenstain revise The Big Honey Hunt, the first Berenstain Bears book?
- 5x expansion. Date, length, references, hooks all check out. Good to go. Gobōnobo + c 08:53, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
- Note: the two ALTs cannot be approved by the same person who proposed them. I'll try to get back to check them shortly, but they should not be used absent a specific review and approval. The original hook is approved at this time, though. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:14, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
- ALT1 approved; ALT2 is problematic and has been struck. Using "helped" for Dr. Seuss had me believing that he did some of the revisions himself; as their editor, you can't say that for sure; it's as likely that he told them what wasn't working or needed fixing. I'm going to propose an ALT3 below that does mention Dr. Seuss, but someone else will have to approve it; it should not be used absent approval:
- ALT3: ... that it took Stan and Jan Berenstain two years to revise The Big Honey Hunt, the first Berenstain Bears book, to Dr. Seuss's satisfaction? —BlueMoonset (talk) 05:15, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
